Mask wearing is definitely becoming part of the ‘new normal’ during these Covid-19 times. As a yoga teacher who has spent a lot of time working on breathing techniques, it seems so foreign to cover my mouth in a way that seems restrictive to breathing. But really, I don’t mind, and especially when I know I can wear a re-usable, washable mask made to fit comfortably. And to be extra safe, I designed this pattern to include an internal pocket that can hold a filter or an extra layer of fabric. Because of the pocket, I wouldn’t recommend wearing the mask without this extra layer, as the pocket opening could risk extra exposure.
