Some of you may remember last year I announced that my product design (The Scilla Jumpsuit) and photographs were stolen by Temu. I was subsequently contacted by the BBC to talk about the issue with Rip Off Britain.

You can watch the episode on BBC iPlayer – the story features at 20 minutes into the episode.

After the popularity of the Chiono Quilted Jacket, so many of you asked for a slightly longer coat with a hood. Well, it’s finally here!

The Omilla Hooded Quilt Coat is a sewing pattern for making a drop shoulder hooded coat, designed to utilize quilts or blankets. Instead of
traditional hemming, edges are finished with a bias binding method, and the coat is constructed without a separate lining. The extra-long sleeves can be rolled or shortened, and the adaptable length allows for personalised length. Featuring deep curved pockets and various closure options, this pattern is an ideal project for quilters and sewists seeking a straightforward construction without the complexities of lining a coat.

The Whispering Clouds Sweater – knitting pattern 0024

A knitting pattern to make an ethereal top down cosy sweater.
The cloud designs are revealed across the body, shoulders, and sleeves using stranded knitting techniques with three strands of yarns.
The two thinner strands of yarns adds a gradient colour effect and a soft brushed texture to recreate the dreamy sky backdrop behind the clouds, and the slit at the waist rib edge allows for an effortless ‘French Tuck’ technique when wearing. Designed in loving memory of my faithful companion, Chunk, who loved gazing at the skies on warm days. May this comforting sweater act as a gentle reminder of the comforting presence of those we’ve lost.

Made a few adjustments to get the look I wanted which included lengthening the leg and taking it in to be tapered. Absolutely love this pattern. Super easy and fast sew. Definitely recommend.

The Chiono Quilted Jacket

Purchased this pattern to make a quilted jacket. I have not had a chance to make up the jacket yet but have read over the instructions and they are clear and easy to understand. There are a couple of variations so I will be able to make some fun jackets without them being all exactly the same. The download was flawless and printed perfectly. Would definitely recommend the pattern/designer.

It’s a lovely design. My mother is making it up, because I can’t knit to save my life. She’s fascinated by the way it’s worked up.

A zip-free Back Wrap Dress with a ruffle

Back in the Spring of 2022 I started working on sewing a dress I could wear on my upcoming holiday in Spain. So I set to work to create a dress pattern, and as usual, without fussy fasteners or zips. This blog post tells the story of how the dress came to be, what inspired it, and what pattern testers had to say about it. You can purchase the pattern as an instantly downloadable digital file from the Etsy store, to print at home or have printed via a copy shop.
