A dress sewing pattern with concealed pockets, that wraps over at the back and has a gathered frill on the bottom of the skirt. The dress is fitted and without gathers on the front, whereas the skirts that cross over at the back are gathered to give fullness and ties with a long belt to tie into a bow at the front or back. View A has cap sleeves whilst View B has long cut-in-one sleeves with an underarm gusset for movement. Edges are finished with a trim or bias tape. This dress was inspired by historical dresses with a fuller back skirt, and by prairie dresses with a high neckline and seams that can be embellished with a frill or lace edge. The wrap style means there are no fussy fasteners.
Intermediate – Intermediate (requires easing seams, gathering skirt panels , topstitching and sewing with bias tape.)
YES – 10 mm (3/8 inch) Seam allowances have been added to all pattern pieces.
