Make an oversized, fully lined hooded raincoat cape that buttons up and has a belted waist. The cape can be lined with a thinner fabric for warmer weather, a plush fl eece for colder seasons or absorbent terry fabrics for wearing over swim-wear. The hood can be held in place during rainfall with a drawstring, and an inner collar gives a lovely shaping across the neck when the hood is worn down. The welt pockets are both neat and practical. The perfect festival, outdoor swimming and even dog walking coat for all weathers which can be worn over layers of clothing. Available in two sizes but
with the options of a shorter body length or shorter sleeve length to also choose from.
Intermediate (requires sewing with waterproof fabric, welt pockets, full lining with facings, button holes and topstitching).
YES – 10 mm (3/8 inch) Seam allowances have been added to all pattern pieces.
This pattern includes two sizes with options to also make the sleeves or length shorter for each size.

- Size B : XL – XXL
OUTER : Medium weight waterproof or water resistant raincoat fabrics, including oilcloth and PUL fabric
LINING : non-stretch fabrics such as quilting cottons for warm weather, polar fleece for cold weather or terry toweling for using as a dry robe type of garment.
OUTER FABRIC : 3 metres/3.3 yards
INNER LINING : 240 cm / 2.6 yards
